Purchasing Specialist - Spare Parts

The Spare Parts Purchasing Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement of spare parts and components for the automotive industry. This role ensures that parts are sourced from the reliable suppliers at competitive prices, maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production and after-sales service.

The specialist will work closely with suppliers, all internal departments with aim to meet cost, quality and delivery targets in line with company objectives.

  • Procurement & Supplier Management:
    • Source and procure automotive spare parts, components, and related materials.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements.
    • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor spare parts inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent shortages or overstock.
    • Collaborate with Logistic team to ensure accurate stock control and efficient parts flow.
  • Market Research & Sourcing:
    • Evaluate alternative spare parts suppliers, assess their reliability, and negotiate to secure the best deals.
    • Continuously assess cost reduction opportunities without compromising on quality or supplier reliability.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Work closely with engineering, production, and after-sales service teams to forecast part requirements.
    • Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure parts meet technical specifications and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with logistics to manage the timely shipment and delivery of parts.
  • Cost Management & Reporting:
    • Monitor and control purchasing budgets, ensuring all procurement activities are within the allocated budget.
    • Track and report on KPIs such as cost savings, supplier lead times, and inventory turnover, customer backlogs
    • Provide regular reports to the SP BU management team on procurement activities
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure all procurement processes comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and relevant legislation.
    • Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier agreements, and related documentation.
    • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Požadujeme:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
    • Proven experience with sourcing automotive spare parts or components.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with automotive spare parts and technical specifications.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP system ( SAP)
    • Analytical mindset with a focus on cost management and problem-solving.
